Barbara Grimm
President and Founder
Barbara Grimm has dedicated 15 years to the field of education, holding a degree in Organizational Behavior and Applied Psychology. Her extensive experience primarily focuses on special education, especially within the multidisciplinary education framework. Ms. Grimm's distinctive blend of knowledge in health, wellness, 911 dispatching, and emergency services fuels her commitment to assisting students in crisis situations. Her enthusiasm for fostering relationships between students and staff during critical moments resulted in the creation of the School Responder app.
Margot Hoerner
Member of The Board
Margot Hoerner retired from a 35 year career at Procter and Gamble in sales, marketing and human resources. As a Human Resource Executive, she gained extensive knowledge of and experience in strategic planning, leadership, training and development and executive coaching.
She is passionate about youth and the development of young people to achieve their full potential through her lifelong affiliation with the American Youth Foundation. She is also active with many non-profits in the Lancaster community including Junior Achievement, Claire House, Benchmark, Manheim Township Educational Foundation and SCORE (mentoring small businesses in the community).
Dr. CJ Huff

Dr. CJ Huff is an educator with over 20 years of experience as a teacher, principal, and superintendent. His leadership was put to the test when an EF-5 tornado devastated Joplin, MO, during his tenure as superintendent. Dr. Huff successfully guided his district through the recovery process, demonstrating exceptional resilience and vision. He now serves as the Director of Strategy and Development for the national not-for-profit
Safe and Sound Schools and plays a key role in expanding the
School Responder app to schools nationwide. His experience in disaster recovery and community engagement, particularly through Bright Futures USA, is instrumental in helping Wellness Responder reach and support marginalized and underserved communities.
David B. Cooper
Member of The Board
David contributes a unique combination of business process architecture and industry knowledge to Wellness Responder. His extensive experience in both business & software development has led him to design applications that facilitate connections among individuals, whether they are concert attendees or students. Prior to co-founding Wellness Responder, he developed systems that streamlined ticketing and enhanced fan engagement for prominent organizations such as NASCAR and renowned artists like Whitney Houston and Madonna. At Wellness Responder, David implements his entrepreneurial approach, emphasizing the creation of solutions that are auditable, repeatable, and scalable.
